Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our client, the Financial Ombudsman Service, as a Contingent Investigator - Insurance. This is a 12-month temporary assignment that requires a high level of expertise in resolving complaints and disputes related to insurance products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve complaints and disputes related to insurance products and services
- Assess evidence and make informed decisions based on critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the general insurance market, particularly motor insurance and buildings insurance
- Provide high-quality written communication to customers, including persuasive and accurate accounts of complaint outcomes
- Manage conflicting deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively to meet productivity expectations
Requirements
- Proven experience in resolving complaints and disputes, with a strong track record of decision-making
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess evidence and make informed decisions
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise accounts of complaint outcomes
- Ability to work at pace and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
