BAM Construct & Ventures UK Ltd is seeking a Junior Construction Planning Associate to join our dynamic team in the Central region of our construction division.

Flexible Working Policy

As part of your role, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing design, procurement, and construction schedules utilizing Elecosoft Powerproject for pre-qualifications, tenders, and ongoing projects.
  • Identifying and selecting suitable methodologies and sequences for each project.
  • Assessing sites and local conditions to determine effective logistics solutions and resource allocation.
  • Employing specialized planning software, including Synchro or similar tools.
  • Writing detailed method statements.
  • Coordinating labor schedules and selecting major equipment, including scaffold plans, tower crane usage, and temporary works.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors to establish trade schedules.
  • Monitoring project progress throughout the pre-construction and construction phases, comparing it with the planned timeline.
  • Documenting relevant events for potential claims.
  • Engaging with and supporting the Project Team throughout the project lifecycle, making necessary adjustments to plans.
  • Preparing feedback reports on project activities.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of the company's planning processes and protocols.
  • Coordinating with trade contractors' schedules on-site.
  • Assisting in the development and mentorship of junior planning staff.
  • Providing general planning insights and awareness to site teams.
Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Proven experience in contract and tender planning, with the capability to lead project scheduling and time management.
  • A background in the construction sector, delivering projects across various market segments, with a solid understanding of high-quality finishes and mechanical & electrical interfaces.
  • Experience with tenders and contracts under JCT and NEC frameworks.
  • A grasp of best practices in planning.
  • Proficiency in Powerproject, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word; familiarity with SketchUp and Synchro is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of MS Project and Primavera P6 is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in 3D/4D modeling is a plus but not essential.
