About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Leader to join our team at Tesco. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store, ensuring that customers receive excellent service, and leading a team of colleagues to achieve sales and customer satisfaction targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well-stocked store that exceeds customer expectations
- Take ownership of running duty shifts, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Provide excellent customer service, listening to customers and helping to resolve any issues
- Coach and develop colleagues to improve their skills and performance
- Lead by example, setting a high standard of behavior and performance for the team
- Monitor and analyze store performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive sales and customer satisfaction
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment. You will also need to be able to motivate and inspire a team to achieve their best.
