Disability Support Specialist

About the Role
As a Disability Support Specialist with Alina Homecare, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals with learning disabilities to live independently and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend appointments and provide supportive assistance to clients.
- Accompany clients to day centres for social activities and fun events.
- Support clients with social interactions, such as meeting new people and building relationships.
- Assist with day trips and outings, promoting a sense of adventure and excitement.
- Help clients manage their medication and create routines for optimal health.
- Prepare healthy meals and ensure clients maintain a balanced diet.
- Provide personal care and support with hygiene and daily routines.
- Assist with shopping and budgeting, promoting financial independence.
What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you will need to be a compassionate and empathetic individual who is passionate about making a difference in people's lives. You will work closely with our team to provide high-quality support and enable clients to achieve their goals.
While previous experience in supporting people with learning disabilities is not necessary, you will need to be willing to learn and develop your skills. We offer comprehensive training and support to ensure you have the knowledge and confidence to deliver exceptional care.
