Position Overview

A global enterprise focused on sustainable energy production and supply, as well as engaging in energy trading, is seeking a skilled communications expert to fill a newly established position. This role will involve collaborating with the Group's media and public relations team to proactively cultivate relationships and engage with international energy and financial media, along with other key stakeholders, to enhance the brand's global presence.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy and implementation of media relations across the global organization.
  • Establish and nurture strong connections with international media based in London and German outlets, while addressing media inquiries effectively.
  • Create and produce consistent content for various communication channels.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to optimize media opportunities for the organization.
  • Participate as a member of the crisis management team.
  • Oversee the international conference engagement strategy, including the preparation of briefings and presentations for the organization's representatives.
  • Identify and recommend additional avenues to enhance the organization's visibility among international stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in communications, either in an agency setting or within a corporate environment, ideally with a background in the energy or financial services sectors.
  • Established relationships with international media in London and experience working with European media, particularly in Germany.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Fluency in German is required.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Experience in crisis communication.
  • Proven ability to foster strong relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
