• Establish and nurture strong partnerships with other healthcare professionals in both primary and secondary care to effectively develop and implement a client's recovery strategy.
• Ensure that the living conditions for residents, including food services, maintenance, and hygiene, meet high standards.• Conduct thorough inductions for nursing staff.
• Perform screening, triage, initial and comprehensive evaluations, and risk management plans for clients.
• Design and deliver care for individuals participating in detoxification programs.
• Administer medications and monitor their effects, including conducting clinical observations and reporting any irregularities to the medical team.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients and create, review, and oversee recovery plans using a holistic approach.
• Provide case management and direct clinical support to a specified number of clients as agreed with the Centre Manager and Lead Nurse.
This encompasses assessment, planning, and delivering specialized care.• Respond to clinical and medical emergencies, managing crises as a primary intervention.
• Oversee admissions.
• Collaborate with clients to establish treatment and care plans, reviewing them regularly.
• Conduct drug screenings.
Requirements for Addiction Recovery Nurse:
• A valid, UK-recognized nursing qualification - RMN, RGN, CPN, or equivalent.
• Registered Nurse in Mental Health or General Nursing (NMC Registration and active PIN).
• Experience in a Drug & Alcohol recovery setting as a Nurse or Addiction Recovery Nurse is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Drug & Alcohol treatment and recovery processes, including treatment planning.
