About the Role:

The Cybersecurity Governance Specialist will assist the Information Security Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team in overseeing information security across the organization. This includes governance, compliance initiatives, vendor risk management, training, and administration of Vendor Risk Management tools.

This position is not a hands-on technical role but is ideal for someone with a technical background in various technologies and security tools who is transitioning into a GRC-focused role. Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the development and updates of information security documentation, policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders and project teams to identify, define, and scope security requirements.
  • Assisting in the formulation of control testing strategies to ensure security controls meet their intended objectives.
  • Conducting internal security assessments and vendor risk evaluations.
  • Supporting Data Protection initiatives.
  • Assisting Information Security teams and business units in maintaining security attestations, including PCI DSS and SSAE18/SOC 2.
  • Providing comprehensive reporting to the Head of Information Security Governance regarding trends, audit results, and risk assessments.
  • Performing internal and third-party vendor risk assessments and preparing risk assessment reports.
  • Managing and analyzing security controls while assessing the implications of missing controls.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience in a role related to Information Security GRC.
  • Familiarity with Vendor Risk Management tools such as OneTrust.
  • Understanding of current information security standards, frameworks, and regulations, including ISO27001, NIST, SSAE18/SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
  • Experience in Third-Party Vendor Risk Management.
  • Proficiency in drafting security-related policies, processes, and procedures.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Data Protection Act (DPA) and GDPR.
  • Experience with a SaaS provider and knowledge of cloud security best practices.
  • Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, or CISM would be advantageous.
