Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts Manager to join our team at MBDA. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business strategies to maximize identified opportunities
- Lead the winning of new work through effective business development and negotiation
- Manage the full Route to Contract, including bidding, contract negotiations, and contract delivery
- Ensure compliance with MoD contracting structure, including DEFCONs and QDCs
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Provide effective people management and development
- Communicate with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally
- Report to senior management on contract progress
Requirements:
- Familiarity with MoD contracting structure, including DEFCONs and QDCs
- Defence knowledge an advantage
- Experience of drafting, negotiating, and agreeing contracts and agreements
- Confident communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
