Job Title: Commercial Contracts Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Contracts Manager to join our team at MBDA. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of contracts, from negotiation to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business strategies to maximize identified opportunities
  • Lead the winning of new work through effective business development and negotiation
  • Manage the full Route to Contract, including bidding, contract negotiations, and contract delivery
  • Ensure compliance with MoD contracting structure, including DEFCONs and QDCs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Provide effective people management and development
  • Communicate with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally
  • Report to senior management on contract progress

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with MoD contracting structure, including DEFCONs and QDCs
  • Defence knowledge an advantage
  • Experience of drafting, negotiating, and agreeing contracts and agreements
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
