Job Title: Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner, working closely with children, young people, and families to provide mental health support and guidance.

About the Role

As a Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based interventions, under clinical supervision, to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.

  • Develop and practice evidence-based skills to work directly with children, young people, and families.
  • Conduct holistic and child-centred mental health assessments, including risk assessments.
  • Learn behavioural and cognitive behavioural guided self-help techniques to support children, young people, and their families.

You will be required to demonstrate the ability to work at university degree level, with a proven record of previous learning or formal study in child development, wellbeing, or mental health.

Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with children, young people, and families to provide mental health support and guidance.
  • Developing and practicing evidence-based skills to support the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Conducting holistic and child-centred mental health assessments, including risk assessments.
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who has:

  • Degree qualification or ability to prove ability to work at degree level.
  • Child Development / Child Health qualification.
  • Degree in Relevant Subject - Mental Health, Education, Child Development.

You will also need to have:

  • Knowledge of the educational system in England.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the MHST.
