Job Title: Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Trainee Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner. As a trainee, you will work closely with our experienced team of mental health professionals to deliver evidence-based interventions and support to children, young people, and their families.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team to deliver a range of interventions, including guided self-help, parenting interventions, and working with teaching staff.
  • Develop and practice evidence-based skills to work directly with children, young people, and families.
  • Conduct holistic and child-centred mental health assessments, including risk assessments.
Requirements:
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience in child development, wellbeing, or mental health.
  • Experience of working with children, young people, and their families.
  • Experience of working with a wide range of agencies and stakeholders.
Training and Development:

You will have the opportunity to complete a full-time educational programme specifically designed for this role. The course fees are fully funded, and you will receive a salary support at NHS Agenda for Change (AfC) Band 4. On successful completion of the training, you will qualify as an Educational Mental Health Practitioner with a Diploma/PG Diploma (120 credits).

Person Specification:
  • Degree qualification or ability to work at degree level.
  • Child Development/Child Health qualification.
  • Degree in a relevant subject, such as Mental Health, Education, or Child Development.
