Hours: 13.75 hours per week (11.30am-2.15pm)

Location: Chailey

Salary: £12 per hour / £7,425 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Education department for a Lunchtime Assistant.

This role is a vital part of the team, providing general welfare and social care and educational support for pupils with special educational needs within the learning environment.

The Role

As the Lunchtime Assistant, you will work under the direct instruction of teaching/supervisory staff/therapists to provide support and care for pupils with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with lunchtime routines and provide support for pupils with special dietary needs
  • Provide general welfare and social care for pupils, including personal care and hygiene
  • Support pupils with educational activities and provide additional support as needed
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support workers to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils

Requirements:

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual who is passionate about working with children and young adults with special needs. You will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
