Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Out of Hours Service, providing essential Social Work cover for children and adults across Kent and Medway.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of qualified and unqualified staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Contribute to the management and support of the wider Out of Hours service, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve services outside normal working hours, ensuring the needs of children and adults are met.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery, responding to changing needs and priorities.
  • Provide excellent triage and risk assessment skills, working at speed and under pressure to ensure the safety and well-being of children and adults.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including partner agencies and community groups.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation, ensuring compliance and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a social care or related field, with a strong understanding of the needs of children and adults.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and service users.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Resilience, flexibility, and adaptability, with a positive attitude and a commitment to improving services.
