Position: Educational Support Specialist

Location: Westbourne School, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire

Salary: £20,500 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

As an Educational Support Specialist, you will engage directly with the exceptional students we serve, ensuring they receive the utmost benefit from their educational experiences. Each student possesses immense potential, and they will depend on your guidance throughout their learning journeys.

Your responsibilities will include assisting students in developing essential skills, fostering their achievements, and promoting personal growth through education. You will implement the school's behavior management strategies by applying established rules and procedures while setting clear expectations for both yourself and the students. Additionally, you will maintain records of student progress and conduct, collaborating with pastoral and teaching staff to provide integrated and effective support for each individual.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) setting is desirable.

Westbourne School serves students aged 11-18 and is expanding to accommodate 85 pupils across two campuses. You will be responsible for planning and delivering various subjects across the curriculum.
