As an Engineering Skills Specialist, you'll play a vital role in supporting both staff and students within our Engineering and Building Services Departments. Your responsibilities will encompass providing technical guidance, conducting assessments, ensuring quality assurance, and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure a smooth learning experience.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional learning and technical support to staff and students in our Engineering workshops.
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain high quality standards aligned with awarding body requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners, fostering strong relationships.
- Provide constructive feedback to students, guiding them towards successful progression and achievement.
- Manage stock control efficiently, ensuring the timely ordering and issuing of necessary supplies.
About You
We're seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for engineering and a commitment to student success. You'll possess excellent communication, organizational, and efficiency skills, enabling you to effectively guide learners through practical tasks and demonstrations.
A strong understanding of industry practices is essential, ideally coupled with relevant qualifications such as a Level 2/3 in an engineering machine shop discipline. While prior experience is valuable, we encourage individuals with a genuine enthusiasm for learning and development to apply.
