Position Overview

We are looking for an Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator who is dedicated to fostering collaboration and innovative thinking in the design of health and care services. This role requires exceptional communication and engagement abilities to facilitate meaningful change.

The position is situated within the Strategic Planning team of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, with significant connections to various partnership frameworks in the region. You will play a vital role in a dynamic portfolio of initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of our communities. Your responsibilities will include engaging with diverse groups to inform essential strategic documents and service development areas, particularly for individuals with specific communication needs. Additionally, you will be tasked with effectively communicating the results of our initiatives through various channels, including reports, newsletters, and social media.

Key Responsibilities

The Engagement and Partnerships Coordinator will:

  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Engagement to provide expert advice to the University Health Board and its partners on engagement and partnership strategies.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive engagement program across the organization, guided by established frameworks.
  • Implement a communication strategy to promote the work of the Strategic Planning team and its partners.
  • Respond promptly to urgent service changes, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
  • Independently navigate organizational strategies and policies, ensuring compliance with media standards.
  • Maintain awareness of the complex landscape of NHS partnerships and political dynamics.
  • Integrate engagement into long-term strategic planning, influencing key stakeholders as necessary.
  • Exercise sound judgment in decision-making related to engagement and communication initiatives.
  • Enhance knowledge of communication and engagement practices.
  • Establish and nurture strategic relationships with public service entities and the third sector.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement initiatives to promote the corporate vision and objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to improve the use of media in engagement efforts.
  • Ensure consistent application of branding and identity guidelines across all communications.
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with data protection regulations.
  • Support the use of the Welsh language in communications, adhering to relevant standards.
  • Fulfill additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:
