Position: Cybersecurity Operations Lead

Location: Flexible working arrangements available. Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the implementation of Cybersecurity assurance initiatives to ensure systems and services are designed securely and operate effectively. Conduct risk assessments of systems and services, aiding in the development of secure solutions that align with business objectives. Evaluate architectural designs and recommend appropriate Cybersecurity controls. Perform independent assessments of systems, services, and Cybersecurity measures to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Lead evaluations of Cybersecurity controls to determine their effectiveness in mitigating risks, including vulnerability assessments. Compile and analyze documentation that reflects the compliance status of systems and services, ensuring alignment with technical security controls and relevant certifications. Provide expert guidance to various departments on their Cybersecurity obligations and risk management strategies. Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, along with monitoring and reporting on Cybersecurity controls. Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on Cybersecurity initiatives.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential: Demonstrated ability to approach Cybersecurity challenges with a pragmatic mindset, recognizing that complete risk mitigation is often unattainable. Strong understanding of key risks and their impacts, with the ability to communicate effectively across IT functions. Proven experience in Cybersecurity assurance, focusing on security risks, requirements, technologies, and architectures. Solid technical background with extensive knowledge of application, infrastructure, and security technologies, including secure configurations in various environments. In-depth understanding of threats, vulnerabilities, and risk mitigation strategies. Familiarity with information security standards such as HMG, NIST, and DEFSTAN, and their implications for commercial contracts. Experience with Cybersecurity controls in Operational Technology is advantageous. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks across multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent are desirable. Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations effectively.
