Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Programme Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of complex technical programmes within our engineering division. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing technical programmes from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and product value.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage technical programmes from initiation to completion, overseeing multiple teams and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Support the delivery of the product roadmap, including planning, delivery management, and release management across multiple teams.
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to relevant stakeholders and provide recommendations to facilitate decision-making.
  • Collaborate with engineering departments to identify alignment gaps and reduce overhead.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product and technical skills to drive programmes forward.
  • Focus on outcomes and ensure that all efforts support the intended programme objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the engineering organisation in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Develop tools and optimise processes to improve productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Proven track record managing software programmes and cross-functional technical initiatives within a top-tier technology company.
  • Strong understanding of modern microservice-based technology stacks, including Kubernetes, Kafka, and AWS/GCP.
  • Inquisitive mind and motivated by solving problems.
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate autonomously and lead large multi-disciplinary efforts.
  • Excellent organisational, written, and presentation skills, with a strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Knowledge or experience in the retail banking industry.
  • Experience as a software engineer, infrastructure engineer, or other technical role.
  • Experience defining, developing, and managing processes to support product planning and delivery, particularly at scale.
