Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Engineering Programme Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of complex technical programmes within our engineering division. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing technical programmes from initiation to completion, supporting the delivery of our product roadmap, and collaborating with engineering departments to ensure programme success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage technical programmes from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery of complex multi-team, multi-month engineering programmes.
  • Support the delivery of the product roadmap, including planning, delivery management, and release management across multiple teams.
  • Report progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to relevant stakeholders and provide recommendations to facilitate decision-making and support successful delivery and outcome realization.
  • Collaborate with engineering departments to identify alignment gaps and reduce overhead, ensuring efficient programme execution.
  • Have a good understanding of our product and technical skills to drive programmes forward and ensure outcome-focused delivery.
  • Be engaged and energetic, driving continuous improvement across the engineering organization in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Develop tools and optimize processes to improve productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven track record managing software programmes and other cross-functional technical initiatives within a top-tier technology company.
  • Timely delivery is not your only objective; you obsess over quality, reliability, and product value.
  • Understand a modern microservice-based technology stack (Kubernetes, Kafka, AWS/GCP) built on a CI/CD pipeline.
  • Inquisitive mind and motivated by solving problems.
  • Self-starter, able to operate autonomously to lead large multi-disciplinary efforts.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and presentation skills, building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Desirable

  • Knowledge or experience in the retail banking industry.
  • Experience as a software engineer, an infrastructure engineer, or some other technical role.
  • Experience defining, developing, and managing processes to support product planning and delivery, particularly at scale.
