Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic stroke therapy team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. This role is designed for an experienced professional who is eager to take on a pivotal position in delivering high-quality clinical care and providing leadership within our enthusiastic team.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert clinical guidance and support to fellow Speech and Language Therapists and Technical Instructors.
  • Representing the Speech and Language Therapy discipline within the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to enhance service delivery.
  • Driving the advancement of stroke services through the development of effective care pathways and training initiatives.
  • Fostering a culture of research and development in collaboration with local academic institutions.
  • Participating in a supportive Adult Speech and Language Therapy team, contributing to a wealth of shared expertise.
  • Leading service improvement projects and engaging in multidisciplinary initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A recognized degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy, with HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate study relevant to the clinical area at a Master's level or equivalent experience.
  • Significant clinical experience in the specialty of stroke therapy.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in clinical education.
