The Junior Compliance Manager will lead a team of 6-8 professionals dedicated to the ongoing enhancement of the compliance framework, ensuring adherence to the increasingly stringent regulatory requirements and actively addressing the risks encountered in various markets, particularly within the European sector.

Provide legal counsel on compliance-related issues across multiple European jurisdictions, covering a range of legislative topics pertinent to compliance.

Support for M&A and investment initiatives: The team will offer analytical and advisory assistance on M&A and investment opportunities arising in these regions.

Risk evaluation and mitigation support: The team will facilitate assessments of corruption and compliance risks and assist in the design of mitigation strategies across different business sectors.

The team will conduct integrity due diligence assessments of potential partners for various business areas.

Training and Communication Initiatives:

The team will deliver training on business ethics and anti-corruption in these jurisdictions and contribute to communication efforts on these topics.

Provide practical support and guidance on compliance for new projects and initiatives within the business sectors, as needed.

The Junior Compliance Manager will have two primary responsibilities:

Execute Compliance Activities:
Oversee the team's deliverables, including conducting quality assessments of significant approvals and advice provided. Ensure collaboration within the team and with the broader compliance unit. The individual may also be tasked with managing additional consultant resources or temporary personnel as necessary.
Reports to the VP of Corporate Compliance.

The Junior Compliance Manager will assist the VP of Corporate Compliance and the SVP of Sustainability, Governance, and Compliance in managing and enhancing the achievement of objectives, including:

Developing the organization to meet business priorities and ensuring collaboration with other units.
Overseeing the overall planning, budgeting, and performance management processes within the unit.
A higher education degree in legal and/or compliance fields is preferred.

A minimum of 15 years of experience in legal, compliance, anti-corruption, and anti-fraud investigations, as well as risk assessments and prevention strategies.

Demonstrated experience in managing a compliance program within a large, complex organization, including M&A, due diligence, risk assessment, and training.

A relationship builder with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and functional leaders.
A strong commitment and enthusiasm for fostering a robust compliance culture in a growing organization.
High level of business acumen.
Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English required; proficiency in relevant languages for Statkraft is advantageous.
