Quality Manager - Automotive Expert

A challenging opportunity for a seasoned Quality Manager to lead a team of quality professionals in a global manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a large team of quality professionals, including Quality Engineers, Technicians, Auditors, and Metrology specialists.
  • First point of contact for OEM and internal customer concerns.
  • Lead 8D problem-solving activities and delegate work to the team.
  • Audit systems and processes to IATF16949 standard.
  • Utilize data on quality defects to improve quality processes.
  • Collaborate with internal business functions to support NPI activities across APQP and PPAP submissions.

Requirements:

  • Proven management experience in an automotive tier 1 or OEM background.
  • HNC/ Degree in a technical subject or equivalent professional level qualification.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality systems, particularly IATF16949.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and with OEM customers.
  • Excellent grasp of quality problem-solving tools, including APQP, 8D, MSA, 5Whys, and root cause analysis.
  • Lean six sigma tools - green belt certification preferred.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability to coach and build self-confidence in the team.
