Automotive Service Operations Administrator

Location: Warrington

Salary: £25,300 OTE £27,000 (Overtime paid at time and a half)

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday (7am-4pm / 8am-5pm / 9am-6pm)
  • 1 in 4 Saturday mornings compensated as enhanced overtime (4 hours)

We are excited to present a variety of opportunities for our commercial truck client, which operates dealerships and workshops throughout the Northwest and nearby regions.

We are in search of a dedicated and customer-oriented Service Operations Administrator with a background in the automotive sector to become part of a dynamic and supportive service team based in Warrington.

The service team plays a crucial role in ensuring that all HGV customer interactions, documentation, and systems function seamlessly to foster strong relationships both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities: Automotive Service Operations Administrator

  • Act as a vital member of the service team and demonstrate excellent teamwork.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for valued HGV customers while ensuring smooth administrative processes.
  • Maintain precise records and systems within the service department.
  • Facilitate the interface between dealership systems and those of the manufacturer/distributor.
  • Conduct all transactions with accuracy and maintain clear documentation.
  • Provide a consistently professional and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
  • Promptly and accurately relay messages to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure efficient telephone connections, especially during busy periods and ongoing meetings.
  • Enhance the company's reputation through positive interactions.
  • File completed invoiced job card histories and manage annual archiving of job cards.
  • Handle order numbers and invoice retail customers as necessary.
  • Engage with clients face-to-face, via email, and over the phone.
  • Review booking availability, schedule vehicle appointments, and accurately document customer requirements.
  • Responsible for generating estimates related to defects.

Required Experience: Service Operations Administrator

  • Preferably some experience in the Automotive or Commercial vehicle industry.
  • Familiarity with Kerridge is a significant advantage.
  • Experience in a similar industry is preferred.
  • Ability to think analytically and solve problems effectively.
