Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Expert to join our team. As a key member of our Energy Infrastructure Transition team, you will be responsible for delivering consulting services across a wide range of energy and infrastructure transition areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project delivery of consulting assignments in energy transition areas, including hydrogen, carbon capture, biofuels, and sustainable aviation fuels.
- Provide technical and commercial leadership for consulting assignments, including assessment of key technologies and development of project reports.
- Develop and promote Ricardo's solutions and capabilities through thought leadership, white papers, and marketing channels.
- Support business area managers in developing new solutions and engaging with customers.
- Work with Business Area Managers to train, develop, and mentor young professionals in the team.
- Assess new market developments and emerging challenges in the energy transition space and share notable developments with the EIT leadership team.
Key Competencies and Experience
- Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to connect and communicate with customers at all levels.
- Recognized as an SME in one or more subject matter areas.
- Proven track record of delivering consulting projects in target market areas.
- Appropriate industry and market knowledge relevant to the Practice and associated Growth Solution(s).
- Sound understanding of electrolyser technology and associated offerings, ammonia, methanol, biofuels/SAF, and CCUS technologies and their TRLs.
- Prior experience delivering consulting assignments, including development of key strategy, commercial, and technical deliverables.
- Ability to understand complex problems and develop a value-based proposition for customers to solve those problems.
- Leading people – development, mentoring, and coaching of individuals and being an inspirational presence for the wider business.
- Commercial acumen.
