Job Title: Adult Mental Health Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Teams, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to children and young people in schools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with education staff to develop and implement a Whole School Approach to emotional wellbeing and mental health.
  2. Provide support and guidance to schools, promoting joint working with other services to ensure children and young people receive the support they need.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative team, supporting the direct delivery of the MHST service in schools. You will work closely with junior staff to develop their skills and confidence, and will be expected to deliver CBT interventions for anxiety, low mood, and behavioural problems individually and in groups.

Requirements:

  1. Graduate qualified healthcare professional (e.g. Nurse, CWP, EMHP, Social Worker, IAPT CBT Therapist or OT).
  2. Confident in working with children and young people, as well as education settings.
  3. Awareness of safeguarding and the role of a Mental Health professional in this.
  4. Enthusiasm about reducing stigma and promoting understanding of mental health issues.
