About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Research and Editorial Assistant to join our Editorial team at Westminster Forum Projects. This is a multifaceted role that involves assisting in the production of conferences on key policy issues affecting Wales and other areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research on policy issues, emerging trends, and potential speakers to inform conference briefs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure conferences are up-to-date, relevant, and inclusive, with a focus on engaging diverse stakeholders
  • Draft agendas, invitations, and website content for conferences
  • Liaise with speakers, parliamentary chairs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth conference operations
  • Attend and contribute to seminars and receptions, both online and in-person
Requirements
  • Proven experience in policy, conference production, journalism, public affairs, or a related field
  • Exceptional written communication skills and ability to absorb complex information
  • Strong diplomacy and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a self-starting attitude
  • A strong sense of responsibility, natural willingness to help colleagues, and a can-do attitude
