Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom Argyll and Bute Health and Social Care Partnership Full time

Service Overview: Health and Social Care Partnership

Role Summary: Our Learning Disability Support Services deliver vital, innovative, and personalized assistance to individuals, enabling those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex conditions to pursue education and personal development, maintain independent living, secure employment, enhance life skills, and engage in meaningful activities. We aim to help individuals achieve their personal goals and foster greater community involvement.

We also extend our support to neurodiverse adults, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and behavioral challenges such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), often assisting individuals transitioning from educational settings. While autism is not classified as a learning disability, our rural regions often lack adequate resources for adults, making our services essential.

Registered Support Locations: Our Health and Social Care Partnership operates in-house registered support facilities, recognized by SCSWIS (Care Inspectorate).

Team Dynamics: Our multi-skilled teams are equipped to assist individuals with complex needs who may not find support elsewhere. We are committed to identifying individuals who can benefit from our broader community support networks or alternative services.

Position Available: We are currently seeking a dedicated 35-hour Support Worker for our day support services.

Candidate Profile: Ideal candidates should possess teamwork skills, empathy, and a genuine passion for providing support. While experience is beneficial, a strong value system focused on empowering individuals to reach their potential is paramount.
