We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Disability Nurse. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the assessment and treatment of adults with a learning disability.
Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with learning disabilities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individual care plans, ensuring that each person's needs are met and their rights are respected.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and develop strategies for improvement.
- Provide education and training to colleagues and other stakeholders on learning disability-related topics.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of policies and procedures related to learning disability care.
- Maths and English to GCSE grade 4/C or above, or equivalent in English and Maths, or level 2 Functional Skills.
- Evidence of recent study to level 3. Applicants with previous study at level 4 or higher will be considered on an individual basis.
- Due to the current eligibility criteria for Government funded apprenticeship schemes, we are currently only able to accept applications from candidates who have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years, and who are not already in any form of Government funded education.
- A willingness to complete Trust Mandatory Courses (will be required to complete and undertake relevant Physical Interventions training with adjustments considered if required).
- A comprehensive training program to support your development as a Learning Disability Nurse.
