Our client, a prominent player in the manufacturing industry, is seeking to appoint a Supply Chain Internal Communications Lead within their central functions team.
As a vital member of the Central Communications team, your primary focus will be to provide expert communication strategies and execution for the Supply Chain, as well as various central functions including Human Resources and Sustainability. A proven track record of engaging with senior stakeholders and a collaborative spirit are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain
- Develop and implement a strategic internal communications framework for the Supply Chain by advising, defining, and executing engagement initiatives.
- Create impactful strategic narratives.
- Draft communications for the Chief Supply Chain Officer and the Supply Chain Leadership team.
- Oversee the execution of campaigns and content that effectively convey strategic narratives.
- Manage existing communication channels within the supply chain.
- Serve as the communications lead for significant change and transformation initiatives.
Central Functions
- Act as a key communications partner for central teams, including sustainability and HR.
- Contribute significantly to enhancing engagement and fostering a strong organizational culture.
- Work closely with fellow communications team members to ensure the successful delivery of a comprehensive calendar of cross-channel communications.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in internal communications, preferably within large and complex organizations.
- Background in supply chain communications is highly desirable.
- Exceptional judgment and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to identify opportunities and provide sound advice to stakeholders.
- Capability to simplify complex business information into clear and engaging messaging.
- Proactive team player who thrives on achieving results while collaborating with diverse teams across the organization.
- Strong expertise in internal leadership communications.
- Proven ability to cultivate robust relationships across teams and manage multiple key stakeholders effectively.
Ideal Experience Includes:
- Delivering communications in operational settings, particularly to front-line audiences lacking access to technology.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment as well as Sustainability Communications (campaigns and operational).
- Proficiency in video shooting and editing (basic skills on an iPhone are acceptable).
- Familiarity with Canva for video and graphic creation.
- Experience with Workplace (Meta).
