Supply Chain Specialist

Location: Burghfield

Package: £36,540-£54,820 (depending on your suitability, qualifications, and level of experience)

Working pattern:

AWE is currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Specialist. You will be joining a newly formed cross-functional team tasked with enhancing performance with current and future suppliers. Your Supply Chain expertise will be instrumental in supporting and refining our existing and emerging supply chain processes. You will play a key role in driving supplier performance metrics, building and fostering strong collaborations with cross-functional stakeholders, both internally and externally.

  1. Develop and implement best practice processes and systems to enhance supply chain performance.
  2. Work with AWE Business System (AWEBS - electronic purchasing) and information management systems to support functional governance.
  3. Govern AWE Supply Chain Management policies, processes, and systems, including preparation of materials for and participation in audits (internal and external) and reporting risk, savings, and benefits.
  1. Collaborate with suppliers to improve performance and develop procedures.
  2. Support change and champion best practices by actively participating in reviews of SCM processes and systems, ensuring adherence, providing training, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  3. Manage and maintain SCM data, including electronic purchasing system, contractual/supplier records, and activity trackers.
  4. Design, deliver, and analyze both standard and bespoke reports to provide performance reports, dashboards, and facilitate governance reviews and audits.
  5. Provide presentations and training to users and internal/external stakeholders to promote awareness of the supply chain function and support compliance.
  6. Manage SCM risks associated with the role.
  7. Seek and collate internal and/or external feedback on the Supply Chain Function to support continuous improvement activities.
