Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at AWE plc. As a key member of our supply chain function, you will play a critical role in enhancing performance with current and future suppliers, driving supplier performance metrics, and fostering strong collaborations with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of best practice processes and systems.
  • Work with AWE Business System (AWEBS) and information management systems to support functional governance.
  • Manage approved suppliers, including supplier records and due diligence activities.
  • Governance of AWE Supply Chain Management policies, processes, and systems, including preparation of material for and participation in audits (internal and external).
  • Provide standard and bespoke business reports, analysis, and presentations.
  • Maintain functional budgetary and resource plans.
Key Accountabilities:
  • Specific responsibilities will depend on the specialism but may include working offsite with suppliers to improve performance and develop procedures.
  • Support change and champion best practice by actively participating in reviews of SCM processes and systems, ensuring adherence, providing training, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Manage and maintain SCM data, including electronic purchasing systems, contractual/supplier records, and activity trackers.
  • Design, delivery, analysis, and commentary of both standard and bespoke reports to provide performance reports, dashboards, and facilitate governance reviews and audits.
  • Provide presentations and training to users and internal/external stakeholders to promote awareness of the supply chain function and support compliance.
  • Manage SCM risks associated with the role.
  • Manage SCM budget and headcount, prepare inputs to annual cost forecasts.
  • Seek and collate internal and/or external feedback on the Supply Chain Function to support continuous improvement activities.
  • Promote and ensure the use of a fully evaluated and approved supply base.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure the speedy resolution of queries.
