Community Learning Disability Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nurse to join our integrated multi-professional Learning Disability team in Argyll and Bute. As a Community Learning Disability Staff Nurse, you will provide high-quality care to adults with learning disabilities in West Argyll, including the Oban, Mid Argyll, and Kintyre areas.
The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with a strong commitment to furthering their knowledge of learning disability nursing. You will work closely with the Senior Nurse to develop and implement individualized care plans, providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with learning disabilities.
As a member of our team, you will be expected to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, local authorities, and care providers to ensure seamless care delivery. You will also be involved in the Scottish Government's Health Check Programme, working to improve the health and wellbeing of adults with learning disabilities in our community.
We require a nurse who is person-centred, has excellent communication skills, and is open to learning and development. Clinical supervision will be provided by the Senior Nurse, and opportunities for peer supervision and professional growth will be available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to adults with learning disabilities in West Argyll
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and care providers
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Participate in the Scottish Government's Health Check Programme
Requirements:
- Registered nurse with a strong commitment to learning disability nursing

Working Hours: The successful candidate will be required to work a 37-hour week, with occasional flexibility to meet the needs of the service. However, as part of our commitment to reducing working hours, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period.
