Clinical Specialist in Learning Disability Psychiatry

We are seeking an experienced clinician with a passion for Learning Disability Psychiatry to join our team of Psychiatrists in NHS Scotland. The Learning Disability service provides assessment and treatment for adults with learning disability throughout Highland. Our team works closely with Community Learning Disability Nurse Teams, specialist services, and Social Work services to provide comprehensive care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with learning disability and mental disorder. They will work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

This is a part-time post (0.8 WTE). The successful candidate must be on the GMC specialist register in Learning Disability Psychiatry or within 6 months of award of CCT by the date of interview. Consideration can be given to appoint on a proleptic basis.

Requirements:
- Eligibility for GMC specialist register in Learning Disability Psychiatry
- Ability to work in a dynamic and supportive environment

Working Hours:
This post is part-time (0.8 WTE). The successful candidate will be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period to accommodate the new reduced working week.
