Position Overview

MECHANICAL ENGINEER FOR SATELLITE ASSEMBLY AND INTEGRATION

WE ARE SEEKING A MECHANICAL ENGINEER TO BECOME A PART OF A TEAM DEDICATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF SATELLITES AND THEIR COMPONENTS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MECHANICAL ENGINEER:

The selected Mechanical Engineer will be tasked with drafting methodologies, strategies, and protocols in a 3D environment to facilitate the creation of satellites and their payloads. The role encompasses assisting in the assembly of hardware components on the satellites, including critical systems, solar panels, and structural elements.

Additional duties will include:

  • Contributing to the customization phase commencing at project initiation
  • Generating documentation for the production phase, including inputs for assembly and work instructions
  • Assisting the assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) engineering team
  • Supervising unit installation tasks on the satellites
  • Facilitating quality assessments, root cause analyses, and process failure mode effects analyses
  • Designing tools and aids for assembly operations

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MECHANICAL ENGINEER:

  • Advanced mechanical expertise
  • Understanding of satellite integration workflows and project stages
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems
  • Proven experience in producing comprehensive documentation (test specifications, plans, procedures, AIT documentation, and design verification plans)
