About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Assistant General Manager to join our team at Life Leisure. As a key member of our management team, you will play a vital role in leading and overseeing the operations of our leisure centres, ensuring that we deliver exceptional customer service and achieve our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the leisure centre, including staff management, customer service, and financial management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction, increase membership sales, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of employee performance, training, and development, ensuring that all staff are equipped to deliver high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure that the leisure centre is Health and Safety compliant, and that all equipment and facilities are properly maintained.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations, including pool and plant management, security, and maintenance.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, staff, and external partners, to promote the services and facilities offered by Life Leisure.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a management role, preferably in a leisure or customer-facing environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and procedures, with the ability to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
