About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide comprehensive support to our Directorate Managers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex schedules, coordinating meetings, and ensuring seamless communication between teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Directorate Managers, including diary management, correspondence, and documentation
  • Assist with the preparation of papers, information, and arrangements for senior-level meetings
  • Take minutes and ensure follow-up action is taken
  • Manage electronic diaries, resolving conflicting appointments and arranging urgent meetings
  • Prepare non-stock orders requisitions for specialist goods and ad hoc orders
  • Support budget holders in monitoring annual call-off purchase orders for specialist services
Person Specification

We are looking for an individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who can work under pressure and meet deadlines. The successful candidate will have a good general academic education to GCSE level, RSA III or equivalent typing skills, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft packages.

Desirable qualifications include NHC Business Administration or NVQ Level 3, NHS background or understanding, and experience of working in a team environment.
