Senior Sale & Purchase Manager

Zodiac Maritime is a leading international ship operating company providing a comprehensive range of management services for a diverse fleet of commercial vessels. With a strong presence in London's West End and representative offices across Europe and Asia, our team of over 200 professionals is dedicated to delivering exceptional results.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Sale & Purchase Manager to join our small, highly effective team of four. As a key member of our c-suite, you will work closely with our leadership to coordinate and complete commercially beneficial sales and purchase activities from contract negotiations through to ship delivery.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Negotiating the sale and purchase of vessels on behalf of our Principals, including newbuild, second-hand, and recycling transactions
  • Negotiating long-term charter arrangements, including bareboat agreements
  • Preparing investment cash flow analyses for potential S&P transactions
  • Liaising with our Treasury and Ship Finance Department to ensure strategic planning and forecasting of all S&P payments
  • Accurately calculating final balances, including bunkers, oils, and extras, on the purchase and sale of assets
  • Instructing Masters, Superintendents, and local representatives as necessary
  • Reporting confirmation of delivery to all personnel, Principals' Representative Offices, and other authorities as necessary
  • Preparing and arranging execution of all required delivery documents, including liaising with Principals, Flag State Authorities, Classification Societies, banks, and other relevant parties
  • Coordinating and ensuring that all relevant departments, Masters, Superintendents, and Port Agents are updated on the details relating to the physical delivery of the vessel
  • Instructing delivery on Principals' confirmation

We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a broad and in-depth knowledge of shipping. You will be a creative and lateral thinker with the ability to use initiative and be proactive. A commitment to helping promote and maintain a safe workplace is essential.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of shipping experience in Sales and Purchase (Broker/Principal)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate and maintain strong relationships with all levels of the business, external legal, commercial, and government entities
  • Advanced knowledge and proven ability in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
