We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claims Handler to join our team at Howden Insurance Brokers Ltd. As a Claims Handler, you will play a critical role in managing a portfolio of motor insurance claims on an end-to-end basis.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of motor insurance claims, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Deal with phone calls and post advising of claims, providing excellent customer service.
- Register and manage First Notice of Loss (FNOL) claims, ensuring compliance with insurer's bespoke arrangements.
- Maintain accurate diary and report records, ensuring seamless communication with stakeholders.
- Match all post and diary entries, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- Ensure the Claims Manager is fully aware of all issues or complaints, providing timely updates.
- Adhere to Howden's service standards and procedures, ensuring the best interest of the client at all times.
- Ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations, maintaining confidentiality and security.
- Record and file all client communications accurately, maintaining a professional image.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in commercial motor claims handling.
- Working knowledge of General Insurance and the CII's Code of Ethics and GDPR.
- Excellent technical insurance skills, with ability to process work quickly and efficiently.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
- Excellent client service skills, with ability to negotiate and broker effectively.
- Good oral and written communication skills, with ability to identify and respond to individual client needs.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent), with Cert CII (desirable).
