Job Title: Electrical Supervisor

Job Summary:

Vital Human Resources is seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team. As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing electrical contracts, ensuring compliance with quality systems, and maintaining high engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management: Supervise electrical contracts to ensure effective and efficient delivery, meeting customer requirements and expectations.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct auditing to ensure compliance with quality systems, including SHEQ, Compliance, and workmanship inspections.
  • NICEIC Quality Supervising: Check electrical installations, audit, and issue NICEIC Certification, liaising with the Regional NICEIC qualifying Manager.
  • Engineering Standards: Maintain a consistent high level of engineering standards.
  • Customer Liaison: Attend regular meetings with customers to discuss and appraise contract performance.
  • CAFM System Management: Oversee the CAFM system and audit engineers' tablets to ensure compliance.
  • Quotations and Extra Works: Produce quotations for small projects and extra works.
  • Operative Support: Ensure all Lorne Stewart operatives have necessary resources, materials, tools, and information to perform duties safely and effectively.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Out-of-Hours Support: Manage out-of-hours support and escalation procedures.
  • Operative Rotas: Continuity of operatives' rotas, ensuring an escalation procedure is in place and routine call-outs and holidays are covered.
  • Project Support: Support projects, small works, and reactive works requests.
  • Statutory Compliance: Provide support for statutory compliance and planned maintenance activities.
  • NICEIC Administration: Oversee NICEIC administration for the contract.

Commercial Responsibilities:

  • Capital Projects: Provide costs for capital projects and plant replacement schemes.
  • Subcontractor Appointments: Assist in appointing subcontractors.

HR/Staffing/Training Responsibilities:

  • Business Continuity: Provide an immediate focal point for all matters relating to Lorne Stewart business.
  • Statutory Training: Ensure continuity of statutory training for all operatives undertaking work of this nature.

Person Specification:

  • Customer Interface: Excellent customer interface skills, excellent telephone and communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Organized, able to prioritize and work to deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail both verbal and written.
  • IT Skills: Excellent and capable skills in IT documentation in Microsoft Office/Excel packages.
  • Paperwork Administration: Respond and administer paperwork systems to ensure the workforce adheres to all planned maintenance, reactive, and quoted works as required.
  • Teamwork: Team player, flexible, and able to work under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • Electrician Qualification: Electrically qualified, minimum of C+G 2391, Electrical test and inspection.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience and AP qualified, competent fault finding on BMS and control systems, PAT testing, and electrical servicing.
