Job Title: Assistant Accommodation Manager

Sanctuary Students is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Assistant Accommodation Manager to join our Accommodation Management team based in Salford. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth running of student accommodation, providing excellent customer service, and planning student events and parties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a high-quality service that meets customer expectations
  • Report maintenance issues and liaise with relevant individuals to ensure repairs are completed and customers informed
  • Ensure property inspections, health and safety, and compliance checks are completed in line with legislation and policy
  • Supervise a General Assistant and Caretaker, providing guidance, support, and promoting the development of staff
  • Assist the Accommodation Manager with debt recovery and develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers
  • Work with the wider team on monthly checks of buildings, raising repairs, ensuring these are completed, completing inspections on void rooms, and carrying out health and safety checks
  • Manage complaints and raise purchase orders
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role supporting the delivery of high-quality accommodation or customer service is essential
  • NVQ3 in a relevant area (e.g., business administration, customer service) is desirable
  • Some experience of providing administrative support services and using a residential booking system
  • Experience of managing staff within a customer-facing environment
  • Working knowledge of working to deadlines and prioritizing workloads
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Previous experience of Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
