Job Description

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to join our specialist adult primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred care to adults with PCD, working closely with the current B7 physiotherapist and clinical nurse specialists.
  • Collaborate with the PCD diagnostic service to ensure timely access to diagnostics and physiotherapy care for adult patients.
  • Attend regional clinics in the southwest of England, including Exeter, Bristol, Oxford, Penzance, Gloucester, Plymouth, and Windsor, to provide physiotherapy services to patients.
  • Work with the PCD Physiotherapists in England on national service development, audit, and research, and receive peer support from the Therapy and PCD teams in Southampton.
  • Provide expertise and knowledge to the wider therapy team, including the adult cystic fibrosis physiotherapists.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent level of experience.
  • Significant relevant clinical experience or ability to demonstrate significant experience in physiotherapy practice.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Attendance at post-graduation courses, or conferences, relevant to clinical area.
  • Able to demonstrate sound understanding of healthcare priorities and political agendas.
  • Experience working in an acute hospital setting.
