Job Description:

W Talent is proud to be working exclusively with a leading manufacturing company, currently seeking an experienced Engineering Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business that supplies essential components to various manufacturing facilities across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate all maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment and facilities.
  • Ensure sufficient maintenance cover is available to maintain optimal production performance.
  • Work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure necessary tools, spare parts, and manpower are available for planned maintenance.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to schedule outsourced maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and deadlines.
  • Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log and track maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
  • Analyse maintenance performance data and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment reliability.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, certifications, and audits related to equipment and facilities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures, implementing long-term solutions to improve reliability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or similar environment, with a background in maintenance or engineering planning.
  • A relevant qualification in engineering or project management is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS or similar maintenance planning software.
  • An analytical mindset with experience in making data-driven decisions.
