Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Planner to play a key role in providing effective maintenance planning across our engineering and maintenance teams. As an Engineering Planner, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sufficient maintenance cover is available to maintain optimal production performance.
  • Work closely with the engineering and maintenance teams to ensure necessary tools, spare parts, and manpower are available for planned maintenance.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to schedule outsourced maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and deadlines.
  • Use CMMS to log and track maintenance activities, equipment history, and spare parts inventory.
  • Analyse maintenance performance data and prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as downtime, maintenance costs, and equipment reliability.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, certifications, and audits related to equipment and facilities.
  • Participate in root cause analysis of equipment failures, implementing long-term solutions to improve reliability.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or similar environment, with a background in maintenance or engineering planning.
  • A relevant qualification in engineering or project management.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS or similar maintenance planning software.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in making data-driven decisions.
