- Lead, negotiate, construct, and manage higher value procurement contracts in line with customer requirements and prescribed timescales. \t
- Advise budget holders and senior managers within the organization on tendering procedures, incorporating Contract Standing Orders, Financial Regulations, and relevant legislation to ensure compliance. \t
- Provide assistance and support to Qualified Procurement Officers and the Procurement Manager in supporting significant and high-value projects, including dealing with less complex technical and legal queries from internal and external stakeholders. \t
- Effectively contribute in procurement meetings at local, regional, and national levels and lead on initiatives as appropriate, ensuring best value to the organization is achieved. \t
- Produce accurate and timely reports to the Procurement Manager to support recommendations to Chief Officers, Head of Finance, and other groups as appropriate. \t
- Be accountable for all Health and Safety issues, including risk assessment, pertaining to the post holder's area of responsibility, in order to fulfill the statutory obligations of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

- Ideally CIPS Level 4 qualified and actively working towards Level 5 Advanced Diploma and/or equivalent Procurement-related work experience dealing with higher value tenders/projects in excess of \u00a3100K. \t
- Able to engage with senior stakeholders and lead high-value enterprise projects across the organization and, where appropriate, deputize for the Procurement Manager at organization meetings/projects. \t
- Ability to provide an advisory and consultancy service to managers on all aspects of procurement, including evaluation and moderation of tenders. \t
- Support Unqualified Procurement Officers with procurement direction on workload. \t
- Should have demonstrable experience across a range of environments within the procurement environment.
- \t
