Position Overview:

The Solutions Sales Specialist will be recognized as a technical authority with an in-depth understanding of Diligent's offerings. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth for both existing and prospective clients, focusing on comprehending customer requirements, customizing solutions, and influencing client decisions by addressing intricate challenges.

This individual contributor role entails managing both inbound and outbound sales, conducting initial prospect/customer meetings, overseeing pipeline management, and ensuring accurate forecasting through to deal closure. As a trusted advisor, the Solutions Sales Specialist collaborates closely with the Accounts team, providing technical expertise during co-selling opportunities. A crucial aspect of this position is mentoring and enhancing the technical knowledge of Sales colleagues, empowering them to gain a deeper understanding of Diligent's products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a robust level of technical expertise in Diligent's products and solutions.
  • Employ sound judgment, technical knowledge, and analytical skills to propose diverse solutions for complex customer challenges.
  • Adopt a 'solutions-oriented' sales approach, recognizing customer needs and developing solutions through the Diligent One Platform.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement, providing relevant insights, and consistent follow-ups to generate new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to formulate strategic account plans, including proposals, presentations, and other sales materials that showcase the technical capabilities and advantages of product solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Coach and support the Sales team’s development by enhancing their technical knowledge, understanding of business value, and professional skills through tailored learning opportunities.
  • Effectively utilize sales tools to identify new leads, schedule initial meetings, improve win rates, and generate bookings.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecast, and regularly report on projected bookings and closed deals.
  • Leverage external insights regarding the competitive landscape, customer business strategies, and industry trends to inform the development of strategic account plans.

Required Experience/Skills:

  • Proven track record of success in account management and achieving revenue targets within the technology or GRC sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles and manage large, intricate deal negotiations with strategic clients.
  • Capacity to cultivate and sustain relationships with diverse stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, with a desire to deepen knowledge of internal products, external industry trends, and the customer landscape.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing abilities.
  • A high degree of curiosity and empathy, with the capacity to understand a potential customer's context, issues, and pain points through effective questioning and active listening.
