About the Role

Aspire People is seeking an experienced Construction Tutor to join our team in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) based in Nottingham.

This role is perfect for a dedicated individual with a strong background in teaching construction and woodwork, who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students who cannot be accommodated in mainstream educational settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and practical lessons in construction and woodwork to students with varying levels of ability.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of students.
  • Manage and support students with challenging behaviors, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to support the overall educational development of students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in teaching construction and woodwork, preferably in a PRU or similar setting.
  • Experience working with students with challenging behavior is essential.
