Role Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Cost Management Specialist to support the delivery of Residential, Commercial, and Mixed-Use Development projects across London, driving and enhancing our commercial, service, performance, and client experience. The role requires experience leading multi-million-pound projects and working with diverse multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Senior Cost Consultants, Project Cost Consultants, and Assistant Cost Consultants to ensure project delivery.
  • Manage the financial performance of cost and commercial management projects across their life cycle, taking responsibility for costs, schedules, and efficiency to ensure profit and budgetary targets are met and best value outcomes are achieved.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts in terms of project delivery parameters and scope of service.
  • Analyze and review complex information from a range of sources and oversee recommendations provided by other specialists, in order to improve the long-term performance of the cost management service.
  • Develop and implement process improvements, leading the implementation of new cost and commercial management system improvements, working to improve services, drive innovation, and enhance project delivery.
  • Manage the overall business relationship with key customers and customer groups in order to identify opportunities to improve the cost management offering and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a lead technical expert, providing strategic advice to other senior managers on cost and commercial management matters, in order to support successful delivery in line with project objectives and strategies.
  • Interact effectively across the organization, completing complex professional-level tasks for others in order to ensure cost management services can be delivered to meet customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Chartered professional with relevant skills and experience to actively support the internal team and manage resources on technically complex projects/programmes of works typically ranging between £10m and £m+.
  • Solid experience across residential, commercial, and mixed-use development sectors is desirable but not essential.
  • The proven ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
  • Commercial acumen and organizational understanding.
  • A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to co-ordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects.
  • Experience of building and utilizing client relationships, including the ability to act as a trusted advisor.
