Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Peer Support Worker - Recovery Champion. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health needs to achieve their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide peer support and guidance to individuals with mental health needs, drawing on your own lived experience and recovery journey.
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement recovery plans that meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Facilitate groups and workshops to promote recovery, empowerment, and social inclusion.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders to promote partnership working and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of recovery-focused projects and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent level of experience.
  • Lived experience of using mental health and/or physical health services or being a carer.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a strong commitment to recovery-focused practice.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 4 or equivalent or equivalent level of experience.
  • Experience of supporting the development of projects and initiatives.
  • Experience of partnership working and networking.
  • Experience of facilitating groups and/or chairing meetings.
