Senior Research Assistant in CPU/GPU Satellite Modem

To contribute to the development of a software DVB-S2X/DVB-RCS2 Satellite Modem based on Software Defined Radio technology, as part of the 6G Cognitive Networking Laboratory's research project funded by the European Space Agency and Global Invacom.
This role involves working collaboratively with a team of researchers to design, develop, and test the satellite modem, leveraging expertise in digital communications systems, Matlab, Linux, C/C++, and Python.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of digital communications systems
- Experience with Matlab, Linux, C/C++, and Python
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Qualifications
A degree at a minimum of 2:2 (or equivalent level 6 qualification) in a relevant discipline is essential for this role. Holding a masters or equivalent level 7 qualification is desirable.
