Job Description:

Financial Reporting Assistant Manager

We're seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Assistant Manager to join our National Assurance Services (NAS) team, which is the firm's centre of technical excellence for assurance and financial reporting. As a key member of our team, you'll provide innovative, practical and robust solutions to auditing and financial reporting matters, supporting audit engagement teams with the delivery of high-quality audits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the audit practice with accounting and corporate reporting related consultations, compliance reviews of annual reports and accounts (ARAs) prior to signing audit reports.
  • Review technical accounting queries, hot reviews and facilitate the Audit Helpdesk (reactive work).
  • Keep up to date with technical knowledge related to accounting and corporate reporting requirements and support with audit practice training events.

Requirements:

  • A professional qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA).
  • A strong understanding of accounting frameworks (UK adopted IFRS and UK GAAP), statutory and other regulatory requirements.
  • Experience of working in an audit team, with the ability to adapt your style to best interact with engagement teams from different backgrounds and levels of experience.
