Your new company is a leading MGA in the Commercial and Residential insurance solutions market, offering a range of coverage and personalized service to brokers and clients. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for evaluating, pricing, and underwriting property insurance risks within delegated authority limits.
Key Responsibilities- Review and assess new and renewal submissions, negotiating terms and conditions with brokers and clients.
- Manage and monitor the performance of the property insurance portfolio, building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and intermediaries.
- Analyse risk information and apply sound judgement to make informed underwriting decisions, identifying and assessing risk exposures.
To succeed in this role, you will have previous experience working as an Underwriter, ideally in the London Market, or have Underwriting experience and be willing to cross-train into Property. A CII or ACII qualification is advantageous, as is the ability to assess and analyse complex risks, negotiate terms and conditions, and build strong relationships.
What We OfferThis role is home-based with occasional travel to London. You will be offered a competitive salary of up to £50,000, depending on experience, and performance-based bonuses. You will also receive support from Directors and Managers, career development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package, including pension, healthcare, and insurance.
